Meet Lisa Trottot
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
A Quest for Knowledge
Lisa Trottot has had a fascination with dinosaurs since her early teens. Most recently, when Lisa and her family relocated from Colorado to Nevada, they made a vacation out of following a trail of dinosaur bones in their drive across country. "We visited an active site in Utah where they are still finding dinosaur bones, which is pretty exciting," says Lisa.
Lisa says her interest in tracking down prehistoric remains dovetails nicely with her passion for criminal justice. "I have always enjoyed learning about the criminal mind and how cases are solved. I love the idea of doing forensic work of some sort, and I know CTU will be my roadmap to getting there." She is presently enrolled in Colorado Tech Online's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program with the goal of one day working in the criminal justice system.
Flexible, Accessible Online Learning
Lisa is an advocate of online learning because she feels it affords students the opportunity to review concepts they might not understand initially and also provides access to a wide range of learning resources. She even recommended Colorado Tech Online to a friend who is now enrolled in the school's Human Resource program.
"I would recommend CTU to anyone who wants to reach their goal of higher education. Even if you don't think you have the time to fit it into an already busy schedule, the flexibility and accessibility makes it possible. The program, school, advisors, professors and courses are all top of the line."
"I am a mother of two girls, 5 and 9 years old. So I am a mom first, nurse second, student third, and a wife when I can find the time. I make time for it all because I want to set a good example for my girls that you can reach your goals and dreams. I think showing them that following your passion is important, will help them become better people."
